“I have ordered the Maninjau Community Health Center to invest in the field to find the cause of the poisoning of 11 residents who were victims of flash floods who lived in evacuation sites in Jorong Labuah, Nagari Tanjung Raya, Tanjung Raya District,” said Head of the Agam Health Service Hendri Rusdian in Lubuk Basung, Sunday (14/12).

He said the Maninjau Community Health Center went to the location on Sunday morning.
The Maninjau Community Health Center will take several samples of the food the victims ate while they were in the refugee camp.
According to the victim’s statement, they ate food provided by the public kitchen and ate catfish pecel.
“The cause of this poisoning is not yet certain, so we are investing in the field,” he said.
He said the 11 victims, including children, adult women and men, experienced nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and dizziness on Saturday (13/12).

When they arrived at Lubuk Basung Regional Hospital, they received intensive care, so that the victims had improved and 10 of them were able to go home on Sunday.
Meanwhile, another victim is still dehydrated and needs further treatment.
“Hopefully one victim will improve so he can go home,” he said.
