KPAI Chair Margaret Aliyatul Maimunah said a number of victims were taken to the community health center, but were ultimately referred to hospital because their injuries were quite serious.
“There were new arrivals, because they were initially treated at the community health center, but their condition was not possible, so they were finally referred. There were some who had to have surgery. The latest data said there were around seven children,” said Marget at the Jakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital on Friday (7/11).

Margaret said students whose condition was good were allowed to go home.
The majority of victims are children under 18 years of age.The injuries they suffered varied, from foot injuries, damaged fingernails, to complaints about their ears and head.
“Many people complain of pain in their ears, some also have to have their fingernails removed,” added Margaret.
Data on the number of victims is still dynamic.When KPAI arrived at the location, it was recorded that 33 students were still being treated in hospital, while initial data from the police said the victims had reached 37 people, although it was not final.
Previously, an explosion incident occurred at SMA 72 on Jalan Prihatin Number 87, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta on Friday afternoon.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri said the explosion occurred after the Friday prayer sermon had finished.However, investigations are still ongoing regarding the source of the explosion.
“That’s right after the sermon. I’ll convey the details later,” said Asep to journalists at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital, Cempaka Putih, Friday (7/11).
Asep said that from temporary data there were 54 victims injured as a result of the SMA 72 explosion. Some of the victims had minor to serious injuries and some of the victims had already returned home.
Polda Metro Jaya opened two posts at Yarsi Hospital and Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital to help victims and their families.
