bullying
and
violence
at an Islamic boarding school in Paciran District, Lamongan Regency.
The alleged violence was carried out by two fellow students, RR (14) and AA (14).As a result of the bullying, FAR suffered head and eye injuries as well as severe trauma and refused to return to boarding.
The case started in September 2024, about two months after FAR started studying at the Islamic boarding school.He is often the target of ridicule and unpleasant treatment, especially from RR who often takes his personal belongings without permission and uses harsh words.

The peak of the violence occurred on October 7 2025. At that time, the victim discovered that one of his missing clothes was on RR’s clothesline.FAR admitted that he had reprimanded the perpetrator nicely, but RR was actually angry and challenged him to a fight.
“He got angry and challenged me,” said FAR briefly when met at his house, Tuesday (4/11).
A short fight was inevitable.In that incident, AA also kicked the victim before being separated by other students.As a result of this incident, FAR’s right eye turned red and it was difficult for him to see.
The victim’s mother, WN (32), only found out about the incident a day later when her son called and asked to be picked up.When he arrived at the cottage, he was shocked to see his son’s body covered in bruises.
“I’m shocked, how come my child has all the bruises,” said WN in a trembling voice.
According to WN, this is not the first time violence against FAR has occurred.Since September 2024, his son has been the victim of ridicule and ostracism several times by other students.He assessed that the Islamic boarding school did not take a firm stance against the perpetrator and instead considered the incident as a minor offense.
“The boarding school said this was a minor violation, so the RR could not be issued yet,” he said.
In fact, according to him, RR had been reported several times by other students for alleged similar violence.However, the Islamic boarding school is considered to have never taken firm steps.
“There have been many victims since 2024, but no action has been taken,” said WN.
Feeling disappointed, WN finally pulled her child out of the cottage, while the perpetrator was still allowed to live there.He then reported RR and AA to the Lamongan Police on October 9 2025 on suspicion of abuse.
The report is registered with Number LP/B/313/X/2025/SPKT/POLRES LAMONGAN/POLDA JAVA TIMUR.
“I just want justice for my child and other children who are also victims,” he said.
Head of Public Relations for Lamongan Police, Ipda M Hamzaid, confirmed the report.
“Lamongan Police have received a complaint about alleged violence at a religious educational institution in Lamongan Regency,” he said.
