A total of 1,464 joint personnel were deployed to secure the action
labor demonstration
which was held by the Indonesian Trade Union Alliance Congress (KASBI) at the DPR Building, Thursday (6/11).
“There are 1,464 personnel providing demonstration services at the DPR,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters.
Susatyo said that thousands of personnel were stationed at a number of strategic points around the DPR Building to ensure that activities for conveying opinions were carried out safely and in an orderly manner.

Susatyo also advised the action participants to carry out demonstrations in an orderly manner and not be easily provoked.He reminded orators not to incite or provoke the masses to act outside the provisions.
“We urge the orators not to provoke other crowds. Remain orderly, don’t burn tires, and don’t damage public facilities. Convey your aspirations coolly and peacefully,” he said.
Susatyo said that expressing opinions in public is a citizen’s right guaranteed by law, but its implementation must still maintain collective order.
“We believe that our fellow workers can show maturity in conveying their aspirations. Let’s work together to ensure that this activity runs smoothly and safely,” he said.
Furthermore, Susatyo said that the traffic flow engineering around the DPR Building was situational and adjusted to developments in the number of people on the ground.
“We will carry out traffic engineering if necessary. Residents who will pass around the DPR Building should look for alternative routes to avoid traffic jams,” he concluded.
Masses from the Indonesian Trade Union Alliance Congress (KASBI) will hold a long march from the Taman Ria Senayan Fly Over starting at 10.00 to the DPR RI Building, followed by orations by the KASBI Central Leadership and orations by KASBI representatives from various regions.
There are 10 main demands in today’s action, namely demanding that the government ratify the Pro-Labor Employment Law, enact a national living wage and increase wages in 2026 by at least 15 percent, eliminate the contract work system, outsourcing, exploitative apprenticeships and fake motorcycle taxi partnerships.
Then, protect female workers and immediately ratify ILO Convention 190, workers also demand the provision of cheap and quality day care, as well as lactation rooms.The government is asked to guarantee the rights of workers in plantations, agriculture, mining, education and health.
“Seven, protect migrant workers and fisheries workers and ratify ILO Convention 188. Lower the prices of basic necessities, fuel, TDL and toll rates. Stop repression and criminalization of people’s movements, release all prisoners of action. Stop war, economic blockade and genocide, support Palestinian independence,” said KASBI General Chair Sunarno.
