As time went by, names that PSSI was looking at or even approaching began to emerge.These names emerged from international mass media reports.
The first name that comes up is Timur Kapadze.The coach who led Uzbekistan to qualify for the 2026 World Cup is currently vacant after refusing to extend his contract.
Next comes the name Heimir Hallgrimsson.The Icelandic man is currently managing Ireland.Currently his contract has not been extended by Ireland.
Not long after, the name Jesus Casas appeared.This Spanish coach is a former architect of the Iraqi national team.The Iraqi mass media were the first to mention Casas and were contacted by PSSI.
Regarding these names, PSSI is reluctant to be frank.Chairman of the PSSI National Team Agency (BTN), Sumardji, for example, confirmed that five names were being approached.
