Earthquake
with a magnitude of 6.2 rocked Bone Bolango,
Gorontalo
, Wednesday (5/11) at around 06.32 WIB.
The earthquake point was at 0.11 South Latitude, 123.13 East Longitude or 71 kilometers southwest of Bone Bolango with a depth of 10.3 kilometers.
“The earthquake does not have the potential for a tsunami,” wrote BMKG in X.

Earthquake vibrations were felt in a number of areas, namely scale III-IV Bone Bolango and Luwuk, scale III North Gorontalo Regency, Ampana, Boalemo Regency, Taliabu, North Bolaang Mongodow, Bolaang Mongodow, Banggai Islands, Banggai Laut, Gorontalo City, and scale II-III Pohuwato, Tonado, Korowako Regencies.
Until now, the impact of the damage caused by the earthquake is not yet known.
The public is advised to be alert for aftershocks.
