Six police officers were suspected of assaulting two

“We are informed that the 6 suspects are members of the Headquarters Service Unit at the National Police Headquarters,” said Karopenmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (12/12).
Trunoyudo explained that the beating that occurred on Thursday (11/12) started when the two matels stopped the motorbike driven by police officers.

However, Trunoyudo did not explain further how the six members named as suspects were involved in the attack.
Based on preliminary evidence collected by investigators, the suspects were charged under Article 170 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code regarding the beating which resulted in the victim’s death.
Trunoyudo said the six people named as suspects included JLA, RGW, IAB, IAM, BN and AM.According to him, they served at the National Police Headquarters.
Initially, the Pancoran Police received a report of abuse against two men in front of the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery (TMP).
After tracing, the police found 2 victims.The first victim was declared dead on the spot while the second victim suffered serious injuries and later died in hospital.
“It is known that the chronology of the first incident in front of the Kalibata TMP began on Thursday 11 December 2025 at around 15.45 WIB when the Pancoran Police received a report via the 110 service regarding alleged abuse of two men in the parking area in front of the Kalibata TMP,” explained Trunoyudo.
“At around 16:00 WIB, Pancoran Police personnel arrived at the location and found the two victims in an injured condition. Immediately, 1 victim was declared dead at the location and 1 other victim suffered serious injuries and later died at Budi Asih Hospital,” he continued.
In the evening, there was also burning of kiosks and several vehicles around the location of the attack.
“After that, the incident was reported to Polda Metro Jaya at around 20.11 WIB, still on the same day, Thursday. Apart from the abuse, there was also burning of residents’ facilities in the form of kiosks and vehicles around the location of the incident,” he said.
Facilities damaged by the burning included 4 four-wheeled vehicles, 7 motorbikes, 14 vendor stalls, 2 kiosks and 2 residents’ houses.
Then, the police carried out security measures to reduce the chaos caused by the burning and at the same time prevent the situation from spreading.
