The Aceh government, through the Aceh Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, reported that the number of victims of floods and landslides in Aceh was increasing.As of Tuesday (2/12) at 00:52, 173 people had been found dead.
“That is the temporary data that we received as many as 173 victims died as a result of the flood and landslide disaster in Aceh,” said the Head of the Aceh Disaster Emergency Response Team, M. Nasir.
M. Nasir explained that the Aceh hydrometeorological disaster which occurred starting last Wednesday (26/11) had an impact on 18 regencies/cities throughout Aceh.

He detailed that currently the impact of this hydrometeorological disaster is spread across 226 sub-districts and 3,310 villages throughout Aceh.
“While currently there are 403 seriously injured victims, 1,435 people with minor injuries. Meanwhile, 204 other people are reported missing and are still in the process of being searched,” added M. Nasir.
Meanwhile, the number of refugees was recorded at 828 points with a total of 97,305 heads of families or 443,001 people.
Furthermore, the public facilities affected include 138 offices, 51 places of worship, 201 schools, 4 Islamic boarding schools.Then 152 roads were cut off.
Then, in terms of materials affected, there were 77,049 residents’ houses, 182 livestock, 139.4 hectares of rice fields and 12,012 hectares of gardens.
According to him, three main focuses must be prioritized, namely evacuation of isolated residents, logistical assistance and connectivity.
“We hope that these three main focuses will be completed within 14 days starting from the established emergency response period. We all hope that all these problems will be resolved so that later we will focus on the rehabilitation stage,” he concluded.
Sea and air routes
The sea route is currently the most open option for distributing aid considering that many land accesses are cut off, especially to Aceh Tamiang, Langsa, East Aceh, North Aceh and Lhokseumawe.
Nasir asked the relevant agencies to work quickly to ensure that ship movements can be carried out safely and well coordinated.
Meanwhile, for the areas of Bener Meriah, Takengon, Gayo Lues and Southeast Aceh, it is most possible to send temporary aid by air.
“We need Hercules to distribute at least 500 tons of logistics to Central Aceh and Bener Meriah. The stock of people’s needs there is only enough for two more days,” he stressed.
Open a missing persons post
The Aceh government, through the Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, has opened a complaint service for residents who have lost contact with their families in disaster-affected areas.
This service has been operating since Sunday, November 30 2025 and is based at the Media Center Emergency Response Post located in the lobby of the Aceh Governor’s Office.
Spokesperson for the Aceh Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, Murthalamuddin, said that this service exists to help the public report family members who have not been able to be contacted and can ask about developments in the condition of the affected area.
This complaint service is open every day during the emergency response period to ensure that every public report can be followed up quickly and in a coordinated manner.
