, Armia Fahmi, stated that the Aceh Tamiang RSUD was operational again after being hit by floods at the end of last November.
He said that the regional hospital was now able to serve victims affected by the flash flood and landslide at the end of last November.
Armia said that at the regional hospital, clean water facilities and medical personnel – including aid health workers and volunteers – were also available.

“Support from medical personnel is also pouring in. A number of volunteer medical personnel from North Sumatra have come forward to help. They are generally volunteers who offer themselves voluntarily,” said Armia, Tuesday (9/12).
The medical team, he said, also went to emergency posts to provide services.Some of them focus on working with pregnant women and toddlers, as the groups most vulnerable to being affected after a disaster.
“People who seek treatment after the flood generally experience complaints such as coughing, itching and other skin diseases which often arise due to poor sanitation after the water recedes,” he added.
Emergency health center
Apart from that, Armia said, to expand the reach of health services to affected areas, 10 emergency health center units have also been established at a number of strategic points.
He appealed to the public to immediately take advantage of the reactivated health services and emergency posts if they experience health problems after the disaster.
“We have established health posts at various strategic points that are easy for refugees to reach,” he said.
