Persib Bandung managed to steal three points from Malaysia after winning 3-2 against Selangor FC in the 2025/2026 AFC Champions League Two (ACL2) group stage match.
Competing at the Petaling Jaya Stadium, Malaysia, Thursday (6/11) evening, Bojan Hodak’s team had to trail 0-2 at the end of the first half.However, Persib was able to score three goals in the second half which made a comeback.
The match had only been running for two minutes, Persib’s goal had already been conceded.The quick goal was scored by Chrigor, a Selangor FC striker after utilizing a mature pass from Alvin Mateus Fortes, a player from Cape Verde.

The goal started from Alvin’s quick movement on the left side of the Persib defense, managing to outwit Eliano Reijnders, before sending a cross which Chrigor finished with an accurate flick.
The disaster for Persib continued in the 17th minute.Teja Paku Alam’s attempt to save Chrigor’s kick actually resulted in a wild ball that bounced off Patricio Matricardi’s leg and resulted in an own goal.The score changed to 2-0 in favor of the hosts.
Persib tried to get up.The best opportunity came from Luciano Guaycochea who received the rebound from Andrew Jung’s kick.However, the Argentine midfielder’s efforts were still thwarted by the Selangor goalkeeper with quick reflexes.
Until the final whistle of the first half sounded, Persib had not been able to reduce the gap.The score of 0-2 remained in favor of Selangor FC until the end of the first half.
Only two minutes into the second half, Persib immediately threatened Selangor’s goal through Andrew Jung’s shot.But Jung’s shot was saved by the Selangor goalkeeper and resulted in a corner kick.
Finally, in the 48th minute, Persib managed to reduce the deficit to 1-2 through Andrew Jung’s goal.The goal came from Thom Haye’s corner kick which created chaos in the Selangor penalty box.Then Rosebergne da Silva or Berguinho released a cross and Andrew Jung met it as a goal.
In the 51st minute, Persib threatened Selangor’s goal again with Guaycochea’s classy kick.However, his shot still bounced over the Selangor crossbar.
In the 77th minute, Persib threatened the Selangor goal with a hard, accurate free kick that Thom Haye released from a long distance, but it was parried by the Selangor goalkeeper, resulting in a corner kick.
From a corner kick, Thom Haye sent a corner kick which Ramon de Andrade Souza was able to head, but was pushed over by the Selangor goalkeeper and created a throw-in for Persib.
Robi Darwis’ throw-in was headed by Uilliam Barros, but it was still saved by the Selangor goalkeeper.
Then in the 80th minute, Robi Darwis’ throw-in again created chaos in front of the Selangor goal.However, the final finish through Julio Cesar’s acrobatic kick was still caught by the Selangor goalkeeper.
In the 81st minute, Persib was finally able to equalize the score at 2-2 through Adam Alis’ hard low shot which the Selangor goalkeeper was unable to block.Adam Alis’ goal was created thanks to a through ball from Marc Klok.
In the 82nd minute, Thom Haye’s accurate shot from outside the penalty box into the top right corner was parried by Selangor Sikh goalkeeper Izhan Nazrel.
In the 89th minute there was a commotion in the Persib supporters’ stands.Persib captain Marc Klok and Thom Haye tried to approach to win the atmosphere.The match can be continued again.
In the 90+6th minute, Persib managed to take the lead through Adam Alis’ goal after taking advantage of a blunder by Selangor goalkeeper Nazrel who made the wrong pass.
Until the match ended no additional goals were scored.Persib won 3-2 over Selangor.
