Acting General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (
PBNU
) which has been determined by the PBNU Syuriah, KH Zulfa Mustofa held a consolidation with the PBNU central management, regional management (PWNU), branch management (PCNU), and NU special branch management (PCINU) on Thursday (11/12).
Consolidation was held online.Zulfa held a consolidation after being appointed as Acting Ketum at the PBNU Syuriyah plenary meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/12) evening.
Present at the consolidation meeting held by Zulfa on Thursday evening included Rais Syuriah PBNU Mohammad Nuh, Deputy Rais Aam KH Afifuddin Muhajir, Deputy Rais Aam who is also known as the General Chair of the Central MUI Anwar Iskandar.

Then it was stated that the PBNU central management, more than 30 regional administrators, more than 400 branch administrators throughout Indonesia, as well as PCINU were also present.
In the meeting agenda entitled Socialization of the Results of the PBNU Plenary Meeting Decisions, Zulfa emphasized that he had been given the mandate to carry out the task as captain of the organization.
He also asked all levels of management to close ranks and unite to carry out the function of serving the NU people and all Indonesian people.
“I understand very well that the brothers and sisters below yesterday were a little unsure about what the decision and resolution of the plenary meeting appointed me to be. I hope that this uncertainty which has been making the public, especially the NU administrators confused, will no longer be confused, that is the most important thing,” said Zulfa, quoting his statement, Friday (12/12).
On the same day, Zulfa also visited PWNU Banten to review the NU university development process.He emphasized that the wheels of the NU organization were running normally.
“NU is back to normal, healthy again and ready to continue learning,” he said.
Afterwards, Zulfa admitted that he planned to leave for Lombok to hold a consolidation with regional and branch administrators throughout West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
He will then fly to Sumatra to directly deliver donations to the victims of the Aceh-West Sumatra-North Sumatra disaster which collected IDR 2 billion during the PBNU plenary meeting in Jakarta last Tuesday.
Promise regarding the validity of the regional administrator’s decree
During yesterday’s consolidation, Zulfa also emphasized that he would reorganize the internal institutions as soon as possible.One of them is administrative matters but is very vital for the organization, such as the validity of management decrees at both branch and regional levels.
“I promise not to slow down all the decrees because I know they relate to services,” said Zulfa, who currently serves as mustasyar or PBNU advisor.
Apart from that, Zulfa said that the acceleration of institutional arrangements was also in line with the big agenda that was also mandated in the PBNU plenary meeting to him, namely the implementation of next year’s congress.
He also promised to guard this mandate and hold a clean and civilized congress.
“Immediately prepare for the congress as quickly as possible, as fairly, as cleanly as possible, as honestly as possible and we are determined to avoid
money politics
“In the congress, we will restore something that has been missing in NU, namely civility,” he said.
Gus Yahya’s response
Separately, on the same day, Yahya Cholil Staquf, who still claims to be the General Chair of PBNU, admitted that he was avoiding creating camps within the organization.
“So first, we are not addressing this issue as camps. We are avoiding, avoiding the perception of being camps. No. We just want to maintain the integrity of the organizational structure,” said Gus Yahya after a coordination meeting at the PBNU Building, Jakarta, Thursday (11/12)
Gus Yahya reaffirmed himself as Chairman of PBNU.Gus Yahya said the results of Syuriyah’s daily meeting regarding his dismissal were not in accordance with the organization’s authority.
“The meeting made a decision that was not within its authority. So, therefore, the decision was invalid because it was made by an institution that was not under its authority,” said the older brother of former Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
Then regarding Zulfa’s appointment by Syuriah, he said this was unacceptable because according to him it was not in accordance with PBNU regulations.
“Well, this means that if from the base it is not accepted, then what is based on the base cannot be accepted. That’s all. So we just look at it according to the rules, because it’s not accepted, it’s considered non-existent. That’s all,” said Gus Yahya.
