, Eduardo Perez reminded his players to appear disciplined when serving Persik Kediri in the 12th week of the Super League, Friday (7/11).
“Discipline is key, with VAR, players have to be more careful about physical contact because sometimes the referee’s interpretation can be different,” said Eduardo as reported by Antara.
The Spanish coach believes that the existence of VAR also helps maintain fairness in matches, but each referee’s interpretation of violations can be different.

He believes that referees have their own point of view and judgment, so players need to be wiser in their reactions on the field.
“We know our team plays with high intensity, but that doesn’t mean it’s harsh. Sometimes at certain moments players have to commit tactical fouls, and if the referee thinks it’s too serious, it could result in a card,” he said.
Eduardo explained that his team remained focused on preparing the best strategy even though the training time this time was shorter than the previous week.He said that the last training had gone well and all the players were ready to compete
“We prepare for the match as usual, focusing on our own game, of course while analyzing our opponents so we can appear in the best condition,” he said.
Regarding player rotation, coach Edu, as he is familiarly known, chose not to announce the composition of the first eleven because the final decision will only be taken shortly before the match starts, including foreign striker Diego Mauricio.
“Diego is ready like the other players. I am happy with all the players, but of course not everyone can play at the same time,” he said.
Coach Edu added that the match against Persik Kediri was also a test for Persebaya because the opponent had an experienced squad with two players from Spain, Jose Enrique and Imanol Garcia.
“Persik is a strong and experienced team, but we are also strong. We respect them, but we still come to get points,” he said.
