Vietnamese football observers are wary of the potential for controversial refereeing decisions ahead of Thailand’s opponents in the football final

The 2025 SEA Games final will bring together Thailand vs Vietnam at Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok, Thursday (18/12).Kickoff for the match to determine the champion will start at 19.30 WIB.
Vietnamese football commentator Quang Huy believes that Vietnam has great potential to win over Thailand.However, he also highlighted other factors that occurred outside the match.

The referee’s performance on the field must be highlighted to make the final match run fairly.
“Yes, referees are something we need to pay special attention to. Players need to avoid getting carried away and being aggressive which could result in a yellow card,” said Quang Huy as reported

“However, I also think that most of our players have played in the V.League and are experienced. So, they will understand how to control themselves,” added Quang Huy.
Soha also touched on the controversial decision experienced by the Vietnam women’s soccer team on Wednesday (17/12).It is claimed that the line judge openly disallowed a legitimate goal for coach Mai Duc Chung’s team.
Quang Huy believes The Young Golden Star can achieve victory even though they have to face additional pressure from the home crowd.
“I want Vietnam to play proactively. I think Thailand will play aggressively against our team. I have high hopes for this kind of match.
“Of course, I’m sure whether we play pragmatically or proactively, we will still beat Thailand.If we play pragmatically, we can win at least 1-0.”Meanwhile, if we appear proactive, the score could be 2-1,” said Quang Huy.
