At 16.00 WIB, the congregation then filled the inside area, including taking the seats provided outside the church.
Before it started, a number of state officials were seen monitoring to ensure the smooth running and safety of the Cathedral ahead of the Christmas celebrations.Some of them include Coordinating Minister for PMK Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and DKI Governor Pramono Anung.
They entered the church together at around 16.35 WIB.
Based on the schedule, the first session of Christmas Eve Mass starts at 17.00 WIB, followed by the second session at 20.30 WIB.
Meanwhile, the Christmas Mass on Thursday (25/12) will be held in four sessions.The first session of the Pontifical Mass will be held in the morning at 08.30 WIB.The second session, a special mass for children, is scheduled at 11.00 WIB.
The third session, Mass for the elderly will be held in the afternoon at 16.00 WIB.The final session closed with a public mass at 18.00 WIB.
Activities are carried out in a hybrid manner, followed by in person (
