The company emphasized that the number of operational aircraft affected by the problem was ‘very limited’.

which cited sources in the industry.Airbus’ share price fell by 5.7 percent after the news appeared.
Airbus has been in the spotlight in recent days for requiring improvements to the A320’s software. The investigation found extreme solar storms, such as solar flares, could potentially cause pilots to lose control.
Airlines around the world are rushing to repair thousands of Airbus planes that need urgent maintenance, to prevent pilot control problems.
At least, around 6,000 single-aisle aircraft require such repairs.
“Analysis of recent incidents involving A320 aircraft has revealed that intense solar radiation can damage data critical to flight control functions,” Airbus said last week.
The incident in question appears to be an incident on October 30 that occurred on JetBlue Flight 1230, which was using an Airbus A320.
The plane flying from Cancun, Mexico, to Newark, New Jersey suddenly dived down from a height. The pilots made an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, where about 15 people were taken to hospitals.
On Monday, JetBlue said it was returning to normal operations after carrying out an emergency software update on its Airbus A320 fleet.
“We have resumed normal operations following compliance with the requirements of the FAA airworthiness directive and do not anticipate additional cancellations in this regard,” JetBlue said in the statement.
“We are grateful for the extraordinary efforts of our flight crews who worked around the clock to move quickly to make these updates, and we appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding throughout this process,” JetBlue added.
Separately, Airbus announced on its official website that most of the 6,000 A320 fleet had been modified.Airbus is still completing updates to the remaining 100 fleet.
