through the Ministry of Public Works (PU) ensures the construction of new buildings
Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School
, Buduran, Sidoarjo will start soon.
This step was taken after the tragedy of the collapse of a three-story Islamic boarding school building which killed 63 students, last Monday (29/9).
Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of Public Works, Dewi Chomistriana, said that her party was conducting an audit of all Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, including Al Khoziny which is a priority.

“We at the Directorate General of Human Settlements were assigned to carry out an audit of the reliability of the Islamic boarding school buildings. And Al Khoziny is also one of the solutions that we will soon implement, where we will carry out the construction of the new building in the near future,” said Dewi in Sidoarjo, Thursday (13/11).
Dewi said that her party is currently completing the technical planning and land administration stages.Including detailed engineering design (DED).Construction was carried out on an area of 4,100 square meters.
“Hopefully it can be approved and approved soon. The total area is 4,100 in accordance with the available land prepared by the foundation. So now we are in the process of completing the land administration,” he said.
“So hopefully this can be resolved quickly and of course we hope that starting at the end of this year we can implement it,” he added.
Apart from that, the Al Khoziny building will be built in a new location on Jalan Siwalanpanji II, Siwalanpanji Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency.Currently the land is still a rice field area.
Dewi said that this location change was not carried out without reason.The government is considering aspects of security and ease of access, especially after experiencing difficulties in evacuation and the entry of heavy equipment when a disaster occurred at the old location.
“Because we consider that there is of course a process that must still be ongoing, then we can see that access there is also very limited when an incident like yesterday occurs, access to heavy equipment is also very difficult,” said Dewi.
According to him, the new location chosen is closer to the main road and has wider access, so it will make construction and handling easier if an emergency occurs in the future.
“So here we see that access is very easy, close to the main road, the road is quite wide, so we think this transfer is the best way,” he said.
The new Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School building will soon be rebuilt, following the collapse of the three-story building which killed 63 students, last Monday (29/9).
Head of the Sidoarjo Land Office, Nursuliantoro, said that President Prabowo Subianto planned to hold a ground breaking for the construction of the new A Khoziny building on November 25 2025.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) was ready to be used in the reconstruction of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School building.
According to him, in principle the government has a budget allocation that can be used if the administrative process from the technical ministry has been proposed and approved.
Even so, Purbaya admitted that he did not know in detail the latest developments regarding the plan to rebuild the Islamic boarding school.
“But I finally know the details, which have not been discussed further, but I still say the money is there,” said Purbaya at Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya, Monday (10/11).
