, Fadly Alberto Hengga, admitted that there were many lessons that could be learned from the 0-4 defeat against the strong Brazilian team in the inaugural Group H match of the 2025 U-17 World Cup at Field 7 of the Aspire Academy, Doha, Friday (7/11).
Even though the final result was not in favor of Garuda Muda, Alberto assessed that his team had shown high fighting spirit in the face of extraordinary pressure from Brazil.
“What we can take away is that Brazil’s resistance was very tight, but we couldn’t ignore what we had trained before the match,” said Alberto to ANTARA after the match.

Alberto revealed that the U-17 Indonesian National Team is trying to carry out the coach’s instructions by sticking to the game patterns and systems that have been prepared.
“From the build up, maybe pressing, and we also defended totally because we used counter attacks. That’s what allowed us to prevent them from scoring too many goals,” said Alberto.
In this match, several Indonesian players made basic mistakes due to high pressure from Brazil.However, Alberto chose not to blame his colleagues.
“Maybe there were some who were nervous, and also surprised, maybe with Brazil’s posture and pressing. But from the first half until the end we continued to support each other, even if someone made a mistake, we continued to help so that he didn’t feel guilty,” said Alberto.
This defeat made the U-17 Indonesian National Team temporarily in third place in Group H standings with zero points.However, the opportunity to advance to the next round is not completely closed.Nova Arianto’s squad still has one important match against Honduras on November 10.
“The coach said nothing is impossible. We only lost 0-4 against Brazil, while Honduras lost 0-7. That is a challenge for us. The match against Honduras will be like a final so we can qualify,” said Alberto.
