PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI is expanding the distribution of emergency response assistance to communities and employees affected by flash floods, landslides and other natural disasters in various regions of West Sumatra and North Sumatra.
All elements of BNI are moving together to speed up and expand the distribution of aid.BNI has distributed aid in the form of basic food ingredients, including 85 tons of rice, 17 tons of sugar, 17,000 liters of cooking oil, and other logistical support.
Apart from that, there were 284 affected employees who also received direct assistance from the company, both in the form of logistics and evacuation support.

Distribution is carried out through collaboration between BNI work units, employee communities and internal social institutions so that aid can be distributed evenly and quickly received by affected communities.
“Solidarity from all BNI elements is an important part in accelerating recovery for disaster survivors,” said BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo in an official statement.
This support is part of BNI’s efforts together with the BUMN Big Family to accelerate disaster management under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia.
Okki said aid was distributed in stages through the BNI office network and the company’s internal community, in line with evaluating urgent needs in the field.
“BNI is trying to ensure that assistance can be immediately received by the community and employees who need it, as well as expanding the reach of support to more affected points,” said Okki.
BNI also distributed intensive aid in West Sumatra from 26 November to 4 December 2025. The aid included 55.5 tonnes of rice, 11.1 tonnes of sugar and 11,100 liters of cooking oil, which was distributed to affected points such as Koto Tangah, Pauh, Nagari Ulakan, Bukittinggi, Padang Pariaman, Pasaman and Pesisir Selatan sub-districts.
Three BNI employees affected in this area have also received direct support from the company.
Okki said BNI’s support did not stop at the initial stage of distribution.Field monitoring continues to be carried out to identify additional needs and ensure the smooth delivery of further assistance.
“This effort is our commitment to be present for the community and employees who need immediate support,” said Okki.
BNI together with the BUMN Big Family also ensure that the distribution of aid is carried out synergistically through coordination with Danantara Indonesia.Through this mechanism, aid delivery can be carried out more targeted and according to priority needs.
The distribution of aid is projected to continue along with the recovery process on the ground.BNI emphasizes its commitment to maintaining sustainable support, both for the community and employees, as part of its role in strengthening social resilience during times of emergency.
