This statement responded to public complaints about the quality of SPHP rice.Amran emphasized that damaged SPHP rice could be immediately exchanged even though the packaging had been opened.
According to him, the results of rice production from farmers are good.If there is damage to SPHP rice, possibly due to storage problems in the Bulog warehouse.
“If found (rice) is damaged, this is my discretion as a Minister of Agriculture, because we produced all the good rice, maybe the storage (problematic), just exchanged directly. Even if it has been packaged, (then seen) red, (can be exchanged),” he said at the Ministry of Agriculture, Jakarta, Saturday (30/8)

“(If) the rice is damaged, has been cut, (asking) to replace it by Bulog,” he added.
Previously, Director of Bulog Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani also allowed SPHP rice to be exchanged if the contents did not match the dose on the package.
Rizal asserted that every SPHP rice packaging should contain a minimum of 5 kilograms (kg) before being marketed to the community.
“Before (SPHP rice) was marketed out of the Bulog warehouse, we had already packaged in the form of 5 kg, and were convinced 5 kg. No one could be under 5 kg. I said, at least 5 kg, fewer may,” Rizal said when met at the Fatmawati Post Office, South Jakarta, Friday (18/7).
According to him, consumers are entitled to weigh the SPHP rice directly after buying.If it is proven less than 5 kg, then consumers can ask for exchange at the place of purchase.This exchange mechanism is simple because the stock is available, retailers can immediately return the product inappropriate to the Bulog warehouse.
“Because at the counter after buying, all must weigh. Consumers weigh, make sure 5 kg. If it is lacking, the tuber is 5 kg. Later, the one who sells or the retail complains again to the Bulog warehouse, ‘Sir, this is a number of boxes, so many packaging that has not been 5 kg’.
Regarding the purchase system, he confirmed that at this time all SPHP transactions must be clearly documented.Every buyer is photographed, including the KTP, then the data is uploaded to the official application click SPHP by retailers.
“Yes. There are KTPs photographed and so on. Later uploaded on the SPHP click. Uploaded with the retailer. The goal, if there is a check and so on, there is proof. ‘This is you know’,” said Rizal.
