“All managers and general managers who are not serious about handling permit revocation will be evaluated. If necessary, removed,” stressed Amran in an official statement, Wednesday (5/11).

Amran said that the government had taken legal and administrative steps against violations of the Highest Retail Price (HET) policy.He said 190 retailers and distributors proven to be selling fertilizer above the official price had their permits revoked and were prohibited from operating again.
“We have taken firm action. Through Pupuk Indonesia, we have revoked the permits of 190 retailers and distributors who were proven not to have reduced fertilizer prices according to the government’s announcement, and we will not give them another chance. There is no tolerance for anyone who plays with this policy,” said Amran.
He believes that the practice of selling subsidized fertilizer above the HET has harmed farmers in the long term.The government, said Amran, is committed to ensuring that the price reduction policy can be felt directly at the farmer level.
“For quite a long time our farmers have been oppressed by the mafia. Now is the time for us to fight back. The state must side with farmers. We protect 160 million farmers from dirty games that only benefit a few parties,” he said.
The government is currently tightening supervision over the distribution and sale of subsidized fertilizers in all regions.Amran said that supervision does not only target retailers, but also distribution structures up to management level.This effort was made to ensure that the new prices are effective in the field.
Previously, the government officially reduced the HET for subsidized fertilizer by 20 percent as of 22 October 2025 based on Minister of Agriculture Decree Number 1117/Kpts./SR.310/M/10/2025.
The reduction applies to all types of subsidized fertilizer used by farmers, including urea from IDR 2,250 to IDR 1,800 per kg, NPK from IDR 2,300 to IDR 1,840 per kg, cocoa NPK from IDR 3,300 to IDR 2,640 per kg, ZA specifically for sugar cane from IDR 1,700 to IDR 1,360 per kg, and organic fertilizer from IDR 800 to IDR 640 per kg.
