Corruption Eradication Commission (
Corruption Eradication Commission
) conducted another search regarding the case of alleged bribery and gratification of the Regent of Ponorogo

, in the district in East Java province, Wednesday (12/11).
Apart from searching the house of Sugiri’s relatives in Ngunut Village, Babadan District, KPK investigators also searched the office of the Ponorogo Regency Culture, Youth and Sports Service (Disbudparpora).

, around ten KPK officers arrived at the Arts Building which is the agency’s office on Jalan Pramuka, Nologaten Village.They were seen using three black Avanza cars.

The KPK officers then entered the culture room carrying several large suitcases.
The search was allegedly related to the investigation into the Reog Monument construction project in the Gunung Gamping area, Sampung Village, Sampung District.
Internal sources within the Disbudparpora confirmed that the search took place in the room that handles cultural affairs, including the Reog Monument project.
The search took place behind closed doors since around 11.00 WIB.
A number of members of the Ponorogo Police were seen standing guard around the room to secure the process.
Until this news was written, the KPK team was still in the building and had not provided any official information regarding the search.
Regent’s relative’s house
Previously, on Tuesday (11/11), the office of the Regent of Ponorogo was also searched by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the house of a relative of the Regent of Sugiri.
The search continued until late at night under close supervision by police officers from the Ponorogo Police.
At least nine KPK officers were seen checking every room in the house for more than two hours.
From the location, investigators brought several large suitcases which allegedly contained important documents related to the investigation into cases of alleged bribery and gratification within the Ponorogo Regency Government.
Two local village officials were also asked to be witnesses in the search process.
One of the officials, Saifudin, said that the house had been rented by a relative of Regent Sugiri for the last two years.
“He said it was Pak Giri’s younger brother or nephew. Usually on Saturdays lots of guests come, cars are lined up,” said Saifudin.
According to him, the KPK searched all the rooms in the house, including the three rooms inside.
After the examination was complete, the suitcase containing the evidence was immediately put into the KPK official vehicle.
Until now, there has been no official statement from the Corruption Eradication Committee regarding the results or findings of the search in Ngunut Babadan Village.
