Ariel NOAH Becomes Dilan in Dilan ITB 1997 and Dilan Amsterdam

Ariel NOAH was announced as playing the character Dilan in
Dilan ITB 1997
and Dilan Amsterdam, replacing Iqbaal Ramadhan who had played the character in the first three films released by Falcon Pictures.
The announcement was made directly by the creator of the Dilan saga, Pidi Baiq, in a media conference at the Falcon Pictures office, South Jakarta, Wednesday (5/11).

Ariel NOAH, who came to the session, told the story of how he first received this offer.The 44-year-old man said he had thought for a long time about agreeing to be the former commander of a motorcycle gang in Bandung.
“So at that time he contacted me not once. So the first time we chatted straight to the point, there was this idea, explained it, it was hard, right,” said Ariel.
“As soon as you are told, ‘Wow, this is this big class’. This character is already there, it is already strong, so it can’t be decided in a short time. So you have to think about it many times,” he continued.
Ariel said he needed to talk to Pidi Baiq and Falcon Pictures several times.Not only is he considering continuing the character Iqbal has played, but this is also a big decision in his career.
Apart from being known as a musician and vocalist for NOAH, a man named Nazriel Irham has actually acted in films before.He first debuted on the big screen in Sang Pemimpi (2009) as Arai, and then provided his voice in Jumbo (2025).
Ariel has also been a guest star in the series Tetangga Masa Gitu?in 2015, and as himself in the documentary NOAH: The Beginning in 2013.

In this way, shooting these two big films will be Ariel’s activity in the midst of NOAH which is currently on hiatus for an unknown amount of time.Film production will begin in December 2025 and it is projected that Dilan ITB 1997 will be broadcast in 2026.
Dilan ITB 1997 is the fourth film in the Falcon Pictures version of the Dilan universe saga, after Dilan: He is Dilanku in 1990 aka Dilan 1990 (2018), followed by Dilan 1991 in 2019, and a spin-off entitled Milea: Suara dari Dilan in 2020.
The Dilan universe is based on the trilogy of Dilan novels created by Pidi Baiq, namely Dilan: He is my Dilan in 1990 (2014), Dilan Part Two: He is my Dilan in 1991 (2015), and Milea: Voice of Dilan (2016).
Meanwhile, Pidi Baiq also has another loose novel that is still related to Dilan, namely Ancika: He Who Was With Me in 1995 (2021).The novel was also made into a film with the same title in 2024 by MD Pictures and starring Arbani Yasiz.
