Liverpool had many opportunities in this match even though only one goal was scored through Alexis Mac Allister.Liverpool’s failure to score more goals cannot be separated from Thibaut Courtois’ excellent performance under the rule of Los Merengues.

“[It’s another win] against a very good team. Like [Aston] Villa, they are in good form. An extraordinary performance – I think we can safely call it our best performance of the season,” he continued.
Slot also appreciates the hard work of Liverpool players.The Reds players managed to ensure that Kylian Mbappe and his friends were not free to rush into the penalty box.
“The players worked very hard to keep them [Real Madrid players] away from our defensive area,” he said.
This positive result made Liverpool move up to sixth place in the Champions League standings with six points.Meanwhile, Madrid is in fifth place with both collecting nine points.
