Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison
and a consortium consisting of the Arsari Group and Northstar Group signed an investment agreement to form a joint venture (
joint venture
) to build a digital fiber optic platform in Indonesia, aka Fiberco.
Arsari Group Deputy CEO and COO Aryo P.S.Djojohadikusumo, said the investment value of this collaboration was IDR 14.6 trillion.
“We position this collaboration as infrastructure that is ready to support the AI era. Through this platform, Indonesia will not only become a technology user but also an active actor in an AI-based economy,” said Aryo P.S.Djojohadikusumo at the agreement signing ceremony, Tuesday (23/12).

He said that his party really appreciates Indosat’s vision in its transformation into an AI-based digital company and strengthening digital Indonesia.
Aryo said the partnership should be seen as a platform for the next decades, not just a short-term project.For Arsari, this partnership is a form of long-term capital management that is in line with nation building.
Meanwhile for Indosat, this is a strategic step to unlock value and strengthen future growth.
Aligned Vision
On the same occasion, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Vikram Sinha said that this collaboration started from a long-term vision that was in line.
“This initiative supports Indosat’s transformation into an AI-based company, as well as contributing to industrial progress in bringing high-quality digital experiences to all corners of the country. FiberCo will act as a different AI infrastructure player, as well as being a catalyst for Indonesia’s progress as a digital nation,” said Vikram.
Quoting Indosat’s official statement, FiberCo is a company providing transformative digital infrastructure designed to accelerate Indonesia’s transition towards a more productive, inclusive and artificial intelligence (AI-enabled) economy.
