Together with Salatiga City Christians at Salatiga Square, Central Java, Thursday (25/12).
The event was organized by the Salatiga Churches Cooperation Agency (BKGS) at Pancasila Square.
“This celebration is a momentum to strengthen the values of love, brotherhood and unity as the foundation of national life, as well as strengthening the spirit of togetherness in diversity,” said Gibran, quoting his statement, Thursday (25/12).

At Christmas this year, Gibran invited all Christians to pray for residents affected by floods in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
“May God Almighty continue to provide strength, fortitude and a path to recovery for all affected communities, and strengthen the spirit of mutual assistance among us,” he said.
Apart from that, Gibran also sent greetings from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to the Christians in Salatiga.
He said the government would continue to strengthen the spirit of tolerance, respect diversity and maintain national unity amidst differences in beliefs.
In front of approximately 10 thousand congregants present, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and togetherness between believers.
On that occasion, Gibran also praised the city of Salatiga, which is known as a city with a high level of tolerance.
He appreciated the role of the Salatiga City Government and all levels of society in maintaining inter-religious harmony there.
“Congratulations to the Mayor, [because] Salatiga is the most tolerant city in Indonesia. Congratulations also to the Deputy Governor, because in Central Java there are tolerant cities, yes there are Salatiga, Magelang and Semarang, so it’s really great, the citizens are all tolerant,” he said.
