kept his promise when visiting Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Wednesday (3/5).
During his visit, he stopped at a mosque which was still standing strong even though the surrounding area was devastated.To the mosque guard, Tomas (33 years), Bahlil promised to send a generator unit so that the mosque could be used again for religious activities.
Only two days after the visit, the generator arrived at the Suhada Mosque.It didn’t stop there, the government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources also sent a total of 35 generator units to displaced residents in Palembayan.

The presence of these generators means the electricity in the village is back on and residents’ activities can continue more normally.People now enjoy lighting at night.
“The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PLN have sent assistance in the form of 35 generators to Palembayan Village. 1 special generator was given to the mosque to support the worship activities of the local community,” said Special Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources for the Acceleration of Resolution of Legal Problems in the Energy and Mineral Resources Sector and Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Disaster Preparedness Team Rudy Sufahriadi in Jakarta, Friday (5/12).
Not only generators, low voltage electricity poles have also been installed in the areas worst affected by this disaster.PLN personnel erected electricity poles until evening, so that electricity flow in Palembayan could return to normal.
Previously, Bahlil asked the Director General of Minerals and Coal to clean up the wood and debris around the mosque.He also ordered PT PLN (Persero) to provide access to electricity for affected residents.”Can there be heavy equipment to clean this so that we can pray on Friday. (Friday) night, God willing, it will be lit using generators, 35 generators, and the permanent thing will be done on Saturday,” said Bahlil.
Overall, electricity restoration in West Sumatra shows significant progress.Of the 74 feeders affected, all have resumed operations.A total of 2,284 distribution substations (99%) were also successfully restored out of a total of 2,302 affected substations.Of the 42 MW electricity load that was lost, 40.9 MW (97 percent) has now been restored.
Meanwhile, of the 270,148 affected customers, 268,883 customers or 99 percent are now enjoying electricity again.
