The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake measuring 4.1 magnitude hit the islands of Bali and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

The earthquake occurred at around 20.33 WIB with its center in the sea around 75 kilometers southeast of South Kuta with a depth of 36 kilometers.

BMKG said the earthquake did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami wave.
About two hours later, BMKG reported that Bali and its surroundings were again shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude this time reaching 3.1.
BMKG reported that the earthquake occurred at around 22.50 WIB with the center being in the sea around 132 kilometers southwest of Jembrana, Bali, with a depth of only 10 kilometers.
BMKG said that this earthquake also did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami wave.
