Bandung
has examined dozens of people regarding suspected cases
corruption
and abuse of authority within the Bandung City Government (Pemkot).It is known that this inspection has been carried out since Thursday (30/10).
“We have questioned a total of 14 witnesses,” said Acting Head of Intel at the Bandung City Prosecutor’s Office, Tumpal Sitompul, when contacted by telephone, Tuesday (4/11).

According to Tumpal, the witnesses examined came from various elements, including the private sector and a number of regional apparatus organizations (OPD).
Of the dozens of witnesses, two of them are the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, and a member of the Bandung City DPRD who is also the Chair of the Bandung City NasDem DPD, Rendiana Awangga.
“Today there are five people being examined,” he said.
The five people consisted of two private parties, two state civil servants (ASN), and one member of the Bandung City DPRD, namely Rendiana Awangga.
Tumpal explained that the examination was carried out to deepen the investigation regarding allegations of corruption and abuse of authority.It is hoped that this step will clarify and strengthen case handling.
He emphasized that until now there has been no suspect in the case.The Bandung Prosecutor’s Office, he said, is still careful and continues to collect evidence before taking further legal steps.
