ISO certification
27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 issued by CBQA Global Indonesia as the certification body.
The certification was handed over directly by the President Director of PT Defender Nusa Semesta Toto A Atmojo and the Director of CBQA Global Indonesia Anwar Siregar to the President Director of Bank Mega Kostaman Thayib, Deputy President Director of Bank Mega Indivara Erni and IT Director of Bank Mega YB.Hariantono which is located at the Bank Mega Tower – Jakarta.
The event was witnessed by the Board of Commissioners and Directors of Bank Mega.

By achieving ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certification, it reflects Bank Mega’s commitment to always maintaining the security of information and privacy of its customers, as well as successfully complying with Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 23 of 2021 concerning Payment Service Providers (PJP), Kominfo Regulation Number 4 of 2016 concerning Information Security Management Systems, BSSN Regulation Number 8 of 2020 concerning Security Systems in System Implementation.Electronics, Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 57 of 2021 concerning Population Administration Information Security Management System and Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Protection of Personal Data.
ISO 27001:2022 itself is an international standard that provides guidelines for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
This standard uses a systematic control approach to assist organizations in protecting and managing all information technology assets.
Apart from that, ISO 27701:2019 is an extension of ISO 27001 which has a specific focus on personal data protection to help organizations comply with privacy regulations and better manage risks related to personal data.
“The ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certifications received by Bank Mega demonstrate Bank Mega’s competence and readiness in managing customer information and personal data which are important and valuable assets for the company in implementing the internationally recognized Information Security Management System and Privacy Information Management System,” explained Bank Mega Operations & Information Technology Director Y.B.Hariantono.
Bank Mega collaborates with PT Defender Nusa Semesta, a company operating in the field of cyber security as a consultant to provide assistance in the process of implementing ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 at Bank Mega which will be carried out starting June 2025.
The ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certification process begins by providing awareness regarding information security to Bank Mega internally, followed by carrying out a Gap Assessment process.
This step is taken so that the implementation of information security is in accordance with ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 standards.At the end of the process, Bank Mega conducted a Management Review to ensure readiness to fulfill ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 at Bank Mega.The ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certifications were announced in August 2025 by CBQA Global Indonesia as an accredited certification body.
