The Indonesian men’s team badminton team won a gold medal after defeating Malaysia 3-0 in three straight matches in the final
SEA Games 2025

Competing at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Pathum Thani, Wednesday (10/12), Indonesia managed to lock in a 3-0 victory over Malaysia.
In the third match which was the key match for victory, Indonesian men’s singles Muhammad Zaki Ubaidillah alias Ubed successfully defeated Malaysian representative Hoh Justin with a score of 21-12, 21-14.

This victory made Indonesia successful in beating Malaysia 3-0 as well as winning a gold medal in the men’s badminton team event at the 2025 SEA Games.
In the first match, Indonesian men’s singles Alwi Farhan successfully defeated Malaysia’s first representative Leong Jun Hao with a score of 21-12, 21-19.
After winning, Alwi Farhan made a unique celebration, namely by taking out a piston from his trouser pocket, then shooting at his head and then falling.
After Alwi Farhan, the Indonesian men’s doubles match was Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Muhammad Rea Pahlevi Isfahani against Malaysian men’s doubles mainstay Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.Sabar/Reza also succeeded in beating Aaron/Soh with a score of 21-12, 21-12.
Previously, the Indonesian women’s team badminton team won a silver medal after losing 1-3 to Thailand in the 2025 SEA Games final at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University Rangsit Campis, Pathum Thani, Wednesday (10/12) afternoon.
In the first match, Indonesia actually managed to lead 1-0 after Indonesian women’s singles Putri Kusuma Wardani beat Pornpawee Chochuwong with a score of 21-8, 13-21, 21-16.
Then in the second match, Indonesian women’s doubles Rachel Allessta Rose/Febi Setianingrum lost 18-21, 21-11, 18-21 to Thai pair Benyapa Aimsaard/Supissara Paewsampran.
Then in the third match, Indonesian women’s singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung lost 7-21, 15-21 to Ratchanok Intanon.
In the first game, Gregoria was 1-10 behind at the start of the game until finally losing 7-21.
Then in the second game, Gregoria also had difficulty playing Ratchanok Intanon, to the point that Gregoria had to cover his face with his own hands because it was difficult to get out of the pressure on the lawn.In the second game, Gregoria ultimately lost 15-21.
In the fourth or deciding match, Indonesian women’s doubles Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari lost 19-21, 18-21 to Ornnicha Jongsathapornparn/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat.
This defeat meant that Indonesia lost 1-3 to Thailand in the final of the women’s badminton team at the 2025 SEA Games. Indonesia won a silver medal in the women’s team at the 2025 SEA Games.
