BGN Officially Closes the MBG Kitchen Partner Portal Today

The closure was carried out after the agency received more than 8,471 location proposals from various organizations and institutions throughout Indonesia.
Deputy Head of BGN Sony Sonjaya said the closure of the portal was carried out because the number of proposals had met SPPG needs nationally, especially in urban agglomeration areas.

“The public response to the opening of SPPG registration was very positive. More than 8,471 proposals were submitted in a short time, showing the great public concern for the issue of nutrition and health of the nation’s children,” said Sony in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday (6/11).
Since the portal reopened, public enthusiasm has increased sharply.Thousands of potential partners submitted locations and facility readiness to support the implementation of the MBG program.
Sony explained that all incoming data will undergo strict verification by the BGN technical team to ensure the suitability of the location and facility capacity in accordance with operational standards.This process is carried out in layers so that partner determination is transparent and accurate.
“We ensure that all data is verified carefully. From the initial mapping, there are a number of proposals in areas where SPPG needs have actually been met. Therefore, filtering is carried out so that the distribution of nutrition services is more even,” he explained.
According to him, the step to close this portal is a form of control so that the number and distribution of SPPG remains proportional.Apart from preventing accumulation in certain areas, this policy is also part of a strategy to reorganize the distribution of nutrition services in areas that still need them.
“Closing the portal is not a cessation of participation, but rather a form of regulation so that the program runs effectively and proportionally. After the verification stage is complete, we will announce the results of the official determination of SPPG partners,” added Sony.
He emphasized that even though the portal is closed, BGN still opens up opportunities for future collaboration, especially for potential partners in areas that do not yet have adequate nutrition services.
“BGN will continue to expand the reach of the MBG program to other areas in stages. The next stage will be reopened with a more targeted mechanism based on the results of national needs mapping,” he said.
