) Perry Warjiyo is also concerned about the natural disasters that hit a number of areas in the provinces of North Sumatra, West Sumatra and Aceh.He prayed that conditions would recover quickly, apart from that he also invited the public to donate to the victims.
“Currently our brothers and sisters in Sibolga, Lhokseumawe and a number of other areas are experiencing natural disasters,” he said at the Bank Indonesia (PTBI) Annual Meeting at the BI Head Office Complex, Jakarta, Friday (28/11).
“Through the podium, through this honorable pulpit, we from Bank Indonesia invite us all to offer prayers and set aside some of our fortune to help our brothers and sisters as a form of national solidarity,” he continued.

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded the number of victims who died as a result of flash floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, reaching 174 people as of Friday (28/11) afternoon.
Head of BNPB, Suharyanto, said that most of the deaths came from North Sumatra, namely 116 people.Then there are 42 people still being searched for.
Suharyanto said that in the Aceh region, 35 people died due to floods and landslides.Then 25 other people were still missing, 8 were injured.
Then in West Sumatra, said Suharyanto, 23 people died.Then 12 other people are still being searched for.
“For fatalities in West Sumatra (Sumbar), 23 died, 12 were missing and 4 were injured,” he said.
“These three provinces have relatively large disasters, even though compared to North Sumatra Aceh, yes, this Sumatra is relatively lighter, but that doesn’t mean it’s lighter compared to North Sumatra Aceh,” he said.
“But when compared to the scale of the disaster in West Sumatra alone, it is very large and massive,” added the three-star TNI AD general.
