Bilqis was successfully brought back to Makassar, said Devi, after various parties took persuasive steps with one of the tribes in Jambi, so that they voluntarily returned Bilqis to her parents.
“Yes, with a persuasive approach from friends from the Merangin Police Station and also community leaders there, thank God they understand,” he said.
In this case, the police succeeded in arresting four people from various areas who were named as suspects.
The first is SY (30), a domestic worker from Rappocini District, Makassar.Then NH (29), a housekeeper from Kartasura, Sukoharjo, Central Java.
Then the initials are MA (42), a domestic worker from Bangko District, Merangin Regency, Jambi.Fourth is AS (36), an honorary employee from Jambi.
“From the investigation process, the Makassar Police have arrested four suspects,” said South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Djuhandhani Rahardjo when giving his official statement.
The child kidnapping occurred while the victim was playing when his father left him while playing tennis in Makassar, Sunday (2/11).Then SY (30) took the victim to his boarding house and then offered the victim via his Facebook account.
“NH then became interested and came from Jakarta to Makassar to take the victim with a transaction of IDR 3 million,” he said.
After that, the victim was taken by NH to Jambi via Jakarta and the victim was sold to AS and MA for IDR 15 million, on the pretext of helping a couple who had not had children for nine years.
“After handing over the victim, NH fled to Sukoharjo and admitted to having brokered illegal adoptions three times,” he said.
Meanwhile, AS and MA admitted to buying the victim from NH for IDR 30 million and reselling it to a tribal group in Jambi for IDR 80 million.
“They also admitted to having bought and sold nine babies and one child via TikTok and WhatsApp,” he explained.
