in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Wednesday (5/11).

“During the enforcement operation, there was resistance with bows and arrows, throwing stones, fireworks and sharp weapons by the drug network group, but they were still able to be repulsed and controlled by the team in the field,” said BNN Director of Enforcement and Pursuits Brigadier General Roy Hadi Siahaan to reporters, Wednesday (5/11).
In the video received, BNN officers together with Brimob in uniform and full weapons can be seen coming to Kampung Bahari.Officers then arrested the suspect at a number of points.
First, officers arrested the perpetrator who was in a hut with a blue tent on the edge of the tracks.The perpetrator, who was bound by cable ties, was then taken away by officers.
Next, officers raided the tent suspected of being a drug stall.At the location, a bottle with a black straw was seen which was suspected to be used to consume drugs.
Officers then raided the boarding house at the location.At this location, officers arrested a number of perpetrators.This boarding house looks messy.
The perpetrators were then escorted outside the boarding house.In front of the boarding house, where the resistance occurred.
In the video received, a number of people fought against the officers.Fireworks were shot at the officers, fireworks were heard and smoke appeared.
The perpetrators were then detained at the North Jakarta BNNK office.Currently the investigation process is still continuing.
“All activities were carried out safely and orderly. All suspects and evidence are currently being secured by the North Jakarta BNNK office for further examination,” said Roy.
Meanwhile, Head of BNN Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto stated that eradicating drugs is one of the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita.
He also said that eradicating drugs is a condition for building superior human resources.
“Fighting against drugs for the sake of humanity is certainly in line with the President’s Asta Cita. Especially point 7 is related to eradicating drugs as part of legal reform and national resilience,” said Suyudi at a press conference revealing drug cases at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, South Jakarta, Wednesday (22/10).
The former Banten Regional Police Chief then said that the drug problem was a humanitarian issue.He said drugs are not just a crime.
“Drugs are seen as a humanitarian issue, not just a crime. Drug users are victims who must be cured through rehabilitation, not prison,” he said.
