(BNPB) recorded the death toll in
flood and landslide disasters
in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra as of Tuesday (2/12) afternoon it had increased to 659 people.
Based on BNPB data displayed on their official website, the number of missing victims is 475 people in the three affected provinces.
Meanwhile, the number of injured victims in this disaster reached 2,600 people.The number of residents affected by major floods in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra has reached 3.2 million people.

Flash floods and landslides hit around 50 districts/cities in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.Thousands of residents’ houses were badly damaged by the floods and landslides that occurred last week.
Previously, the Aceh Government, through the Aceh Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, reported that the number of victims of floods and landslides in Aceh had increased.As of Tuesday (2/12) at 00:52, 173 people had been found dead.
“That is the temporary data that we received as many as 173 victims died as a result of the flood and landslide disaster in Aceh,” said the Head of the Aceh Disaster Emergency Response Team, M. Nasir.
Meanwhile, North Sumatra BPBD BPBD Pusdalops Data records that the impact of floods, landslides and extreme weather in North Sumatra is increasingly worrying.As of Tuesday (2/12/2025) at 08.00 WIB, a total of 1,669,996 people had been affected in 17 districts/cities, with 290 people dying and 154 others still missing.
“The latest data is that 290 people died, 538,792 residents were injured, while 135,267 people were forced to flee to emergency posts spread across various regions,” said Head of Emergency Management, Equipment and Logistics of the North Sumatra BPBD, Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati.
