(North Sumatra) Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution estimates that losses caused by flash floods and landslides that hit a number of districts/cities in North Sumatra reached IDR 9.98 trillion.This figure is the total damage in North Sumatra.
“We from the provincial government will make full efforts to continue to speed up disaster management in North Sumatra Province,” said Bobby, Monday (8/12).

The details of the sectors that experienced losses due to the disaster include the infrastructure sector, including 23 national roads and 3 national bridges, 25 road sections and 5 provincial bridges.
“Then the agricultural sector includes 4,359 m of irrigation canals, 26 embankments, 38,878 hectares of agricultural land, 5,750 hectares of puso. Plantation sector 28,328 hectares, livestock 161,949 head,” he explained.
According to Bobby, in the education sector there are approximately 397 schools consisting of SMA, SMK, SLB, SD and SMP.In the Health Sector, there are 18 hospital units, 25 community health centers, 19 supporting community health centers, and 9 village police units.
“For the housing sector, approximately 99,169 housing units were affected. Then 131 houses of worship were affected,” he explained.
To date, there are 420,631 families and 1,578,014 people affected by the disaster.Refugees reached 10,902 families and 45,032 people.The number of victims who died reached 330 people, 650 people were injured, and 136 people are still missing.
“We will always carry out searches, we will update if there are still missing victims, then we will try to get access,” said Bobby.
