According to Bobby, electricity supply in several areas such as Central Tapanuli is still below 50 percent, while Sibolga City has exceeded 50 percent.
“Today it is still below 50 percent, such as in Tapteng, Sibolga is already above 50 percent lit. Likewise, communication will follow, if the PLN is live. Communication will be alive,” he explained.
Road access, said Bobby, is also slowly opening again. The route from Medan can now be traversed, including the route via Subulussalam and Humbang Hasundutan.
“Road access is also partly open from Medan and you can enter, both from Subulussalam and also from Humbang Hasundutan,” he said.
Then supplies of important needs such as fuel and LPG continue to be distributed via sea to Sibolga.Currently, five gas stations in Central Tapanuli are fully operational 24 hours and the number will be increased.
“The bridge route in Tapteng has also been connected, the number of petrol stations in operation will continue to increase at 5 in Tapteng, and they operate 24 hours. LPG has also been sent from Padang and comes from Sibolga Port,” he said.
However, said Bobby, there are still a number of areas that are isolated due to the geographical conditions of hills and points that are difficult to reach.
“For areas that cannot yet be accessed by land routes, aid is still sent by helicopter,” he explained.
There are at least 10 points where logistics distribution still relies on air via Silangit and Pinang Sori Airports.Meanwhile, aid supplies from Medan, Jakarta and various other areas continue to come in without stopping.
“From the start, the problem was distribution. That’s why we maximize distribution, including by land route until night. Heli cannot operate at night, so we optimize all routes,” he said.
The Tapanuli region, such as North Tapanuli Regency, Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, Sibolga City was paralyzed by flash floods of logs and landslides.
Hundreds of residents died in this disaster, and hundreds more are still missing.Millions of affected residents are now occupying refugee camps.
