Bojan Hodak talked about the difficult victory after a successful 3-2 comeback win over Selangor FC in the AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2) match at MBPJ Stadium, Thursday (7/11) evening WIB.
Coming from two goals behind in the first half, Bojan Hodak’s team showed a tough mentality to turn things around in the second half of the match.
The match had only been running for two minutes, Persib’s goal had already been conceded.Chrigor scored Selangor’s quick goal after receiving a mature pass from Alvin Mateus Fortes.

The disaster for Persib continued in the 17th minute, when Teja Paku Alam’s tipped ball actually hit Patricio Matricardi’s foot and resulted in an own goal.The 2-0 score lasted until the first half ended.
Entering the second half, Persib appeared more aggressive.After just two minutes, Andrew Jung reduced the deficit to 1-2 through a corner kick.
Maung Bandung continued to apply pressure after pressure until finally Adam Alis scored two consecutive goals in the 81st and 90+7 minutes, ensuring Persib won 3-2 over Selangor.
After the match, Persib coach Bojan Hodak gave his comments regarding the course of the match.
“I think it’s a completely different match. They changed coaches. This is his first match [after] Bandung and I think now he’s been with the team longer. They looked much more organized in the last match, so let’s see. Today maybe they will improve something, so it will be difficult,” said Bojan Hodak quoted from

Talking about changes in the composition of the opposing players, Hodak assessed that this did not really affect his team’s approach.
“Not really. Look, I know some players are out, some new players. So for us too, Barba is not here. The rest are here. All the players look good. So I hope they are confident after the win in the first game [away]. So we will try to get a positive result here,” said Hodak.
Regarding the absence of mainstay defender Alberto Rodriguez Barba, Hodak believes that his team still has good squad depth.
“Look, we have three good stoppers. The only difference is Barba doing the talking, who is the leader of our team. But he played in all the games and to be honest, I thought before the game to give him a rest,” said Hodak.
“But Julio and Pato have to do their job. Putros is back, who didn’t play in this match. So I hope they can help with good results,” added Hodak.
