IV PalmCo is boosting construction of Compressed Bio Methane Gas (CBG) facilities.
PTPN IV PalmCo President Director Jatmiko K. Santosa said the CBG project was part of 47 renewable energy initiatives prepared by PalmCo until 2030.
Apart from CBG, PTPN IV is also preparing projects to expand the use of biogas, cofiring, biomass, biodiesel, and the construction of a number of new PLTBg.

“With full implementation of the roadmap, PTPN IV PalmCo is targeting a reduction in emissions of up to 1,067,760 tonnes of CO2e in 2030, or the equivalent of a 54.46 percent reduction compared to the business as usual scenario,” said Jatmiko in his official statement.
According to him, this project is a low-emission palm oil transformation facility which is included in the list of 40 Indonesian Carbon Projects offered to the global community, at the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30)
He added that the project is now entering the construction stage and is targeted to be fully operational in the fourth quarter of 2026.
