Explain the increase in the budget for free nutritious eating programs (

) in 2026 to Rp335 trillion.
“The intervention alone requires Rp1.2 trillion per day. If multiplied by 20 days, equivalent to Rp25 trillion per month because the amount is large,” Dadan said at the Directorate General of Taxes, South Jakarta, Friday (8/15).
He stressed that there was no longer an allocation for the construction of the Nutrition Services Fulfillment Unit (SPPG), aka MBG kitchen next year.According to him, all infrastructure has been completed in 2025, mostly through private partners.
“It’s full partner, 90 percent of partners and only 5 percent of (ministries) PU,” he said.
In 2025, MBG received a ceiling of Rp171 trillion, but the absorption was estimated at only Rp121 trillion.Because the number of beneficiaries increases gradually.
Starting in January 2026, the program will run full since the beginning of the year with a target of 82.9 million recipients, so that the budget needs have increased sharply.
The amount of permanent assistance is Rp10 thousand per serving, without changes in the composition of food portions.Dadan mentioned the increase in the ceiling because the number of recipients who had been maximized since the beginning of the year, not because of changes in price or additional infrastructure.
The remaining 2025 budget that is not absorbed will be the authority of the central government to be allocated to another post.
“That’s the president’s business. I already said, please use it for other things,” said Dadan.
In reading the 2026 Draft State Budget and Financial Note, Prabowo Subianto said that next year’s MBG program would reach students, pregnant women, and toddlers with a total of 82.9 million recipients.
He hopes that this program will not only increase community nutrition, but also empower MSMEs, breeders, and small businesses in all regions.
