The 10th plenary session for the second session period 2025-2026 officially adopted the Bill on the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (
BPIP
) and the Witness and Victim Protection Bill (
prostitutes
) as an initiative proposal from the DPR, Monday (8/12).
The plenary meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chair of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and was preceded by written opinions from eight factions.
“Can the Legislative Body’s initiative proposal bill regarding the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) be approved as an initiative proposal bill from the DPR?”said Dasco, answered with agreement from the meeting participants.

The BPIP Bill has previously been discussed several times in Baleh DPR.The meeting invited a number of experts and academics from various universities.
Apart from BPIP, the plenary session also passed the PSK Bill as an initiative proposal from the DPR.In contrast to the BPIP Bill proposed by Baleg, the PSK Bill was proposed by Commission XIII of the DPR which is in charge of Human Rights and Immigration affairs.
“Can the DPR RI Commission XIII initiative proposal bill regarding the protection of witnesses and victims be approved as a bill proposed by the DPR RI?”Dasco’s words were answered with agreement from the meeting participants.
After being approved as an initiative proposal, the bill will then be discussed with the government who will prepare an academic text, an inventory list of problems, along with a Presidential Letter (Surpres).
