Indonesia reaches IDR 12.8 million per year per person.
BPS Deputy for Balance Sheets and Statistical Analysis Moh Edy Mahmud explained that real expenditure per capita per year is the average consumption of the population per year.This data was recorded by BPS based on 2012 constant prices.
“The adjusted real expenditure per capita per year is IDR 12,802 million. This means that the average real expenditure of the Indonesian population in 2025 will reach IDR 12,802 million for one year and per capita or per person,” said Edy in a press conference at the BPS office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/11).

He added that the data recorded by BPS was based on 2012 constant prices, taking South Jakarta as a reference.
“Based on constant prices in 2012, the reference area is South Jakarta,” he said.
Edy said that real expenditure per capita increased by IDR 461 thousand compared to 2024, which was only IDR 12.34 million.This amount also increased compared to 2020 which was IDR 11.01 million, 2021 amounting to IDR 11.15 million, 2022 amounting to IDR 11.47 million, and 2023 amounting to IDR 11.89 million per capita per year.
On the other hand, BPS released data on Indonesia’s economic growth which was recorded as growing 5.04 percent annually or year on year (yoy) in the third quarter of 2025.
Edy reported that the Indonesian economy based on the gross domestic product (GDP) for the third quarter of 2025 at current prices was IDR 6,060 trillion.Meanwhile, GDP at constant prices is IDR 3,444.8 trillion.
“So Indonesia’s growth in the third quarter of 2025 when compared with the third quarter of 2024 or yoy grew by 5.04 percent. When compared with the second quarter of 2025 or quarter to quarter (qtq) it grew by 1.43 percent,” explained Edy.
In the third quarter of 2024, Indonesia’s economy grew 4.95 percent year on year.This was supported by GDP at current prices which reached IDR 5,638.9 trillion and GDP at constant prices of IDR 3,279.6 trillion.
Indonesia’s economic growth in the second quarter of 2025 reached 5.12 percent.This achievement is better than at the beginning of this year when the economy grew 4.87 percent on an annual basis.
