The discovery of the body of a female foreign national (
foreigner
) caused a stir among residents on Jalan Krisnantara, Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency,
Bali
, on Sunday (14/12).
It is known that the victim was stuck in a culvert, after the victim, whose identity has not yet been identified, was suspected of trying to break through the flood during heavy rain.
“Until now, the identity and whereabouts of the victim’s residence are still unknown. And the police are continuing to search for it,” he said

He explained that from witness statements the incident occurred at around 01:10 WITA in the morning.The victim was swept away when he broke through floodwater while crossing the bridge or Jalan Krisnantara, Tibubeneng Village.
“The foreigner was dragged along with his motorbike,” he added.
Then, the victim was found at 04.40 WITA by residents, when the river receded under the road bridge to Canggu Pertiwi, dead.The victim’s position was stuck between the walls of the bridge culvert and between the wood stuck under the bridge.
The evacuation of victims was successfully carried out at 10.40 WITA by the Bali Province Basarnas Team.However, the victim’s vehicle could not be evacuated, because the vehicle was stuck in a bridge culvert with the water still high.
“The body was taken to Prof Ngoerah Hospital, Denpasar,” he said.
Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, I Nyoman Sidakarya said that when he was found, the victim was still wearing black trousers without a shirt.
