has attempted to confirm the progress of the investigation into the case with the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast, but the person concerned has not yet responded.
In the last interview, Jules said that the case was still ongoing and had entered the investigation stage.A number of witnesses are being questioned.
“The fingerprints have gone up, we are currently examining witnesses,” said Jules in Malang City, Friday (31/10).
However, when asked whether the caretakers and owners of the Islamic boarding school had also been questioned during the witness examination, Jules still kept it a secret.
“We cannot name anyone in total because we are still in the process of examining witnesses,” he said.
But what is certain, said Jules, is that the police have carried out a thorough examination of evidence, including collapsed building materials.
“Yes, we will check. Evidence at the location,” he said.
According to him, investigators are still continuing to study various findings in the field and are coordinating with the prosecutor’s office to determine the next legal steps.
“It’s still ongoing, the investigation is still in process. Hopefully there will be a common ground. It’s sufficient, it’s feasible, it has enough elements, etc.,” said Jules.
“Not yet, we are coordinating with the prosecutor’s office too. We’ll see what happens next,” he added.
