KKB
) who called themselves Kodap XVI Yahukimo, Sisibian Battalion on Friday (28/11).
Iron Heluka was arrested by authorities while setting fire to one of the fried food stalls in the Block C Ruko area, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency.
“The arrest of Iron Heluka is an important step in breaking the chain of KKB violence in Yahukimo. The state is present and will not allow the community to become victims of terror and criminal acts by armed groups,” said Head of Cartenz Peace Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani in his statement, Sunday (30/11).

From the results of the investigation, Iron Heluka has joined the KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo, Sisibia Battalion since May 2025. It is known that the group has around 15 members and is armed with five homemade long-barreled weapons.
Iron Heluka’s arrest began at around 03.15 WIT when the Yahukimo Police received a report of a commotion in the Route 1 Settlement. When personnel arrived at the location, they found three people burning fried food stalls, then they were stopped by officers.
At that time, two people managed to escape, while one was captured and identified as Iron Heluka.Iron Heluka was then taken to the Yahukimo Police for further examination.
During the arrest, the authorities also confiscated evidence in the form of a cellphone, two lighters, a Rasta hat and a Morning Star noken bag.
Based on investigations, Iron Heluka is known to be involved in several large-scale criminal acts.In fact, he was the main perpetrator in the burning of the Yahukimo Samsat Building on September 12 2025 together with his two colleagues JP and RS who were members of the KKB from Kodap XVI Yahukimo.
“Not only that, Iron Heluka was also involved in monitoring the situation behind the vehicle during the murder of Bahar bin Saleh. After the incident, he immediately ran away,” said Faizal.
Currently, Iron Heluka is still being held in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Yahukimo Police for the examination process.Including, to explore his involvement in the KKB network and a number of criminal acts that have occurred in the Yahukimo area.
