Bandung District Prosecutor’s Office examines the DPD Chairman

Acting Head of Intel at the Bandung City Prosecutor’s Office, Tumpal Sitompul said that today five people were being questioned.
The five questioned included two private parties, two ASNs and one member of the Bandung City DPRD.

He also did not deny that the DPRD member being questioned was the Chair of the Bandung City Nasdem DPD, Rendiana Awangga.
“Yes, a member of the Bandung City DPRD with the initials RA,” he said when contacted by telephone.
Tumpal explained that the examination of the five witnesses was carried out to deepen the investigation into cases of alleged corruption and abuse of authority.It is hoped that this step will make the matter clearer and clearer.
Tumpal emphasized that until now no suspect has been named in this case.
The Bandung Prosecutor’s Office, he said, is still careful and continues to collect evidence before taking further legal steps.
Previously, Deputy Mayor of Bandung Erwin was also questioned regarding the same case.Erwin opened his voice after it was widely said that he had been caught in the Bandung Prosecutor’s Hand Arrest Operation (OTT).
Erwin confirmed that there were no OTT incidents or arrests made by the prosecutor’s office.
“I emphasize that this information is not true. There has never been an OTT incident against me. The news circulating on social media does not match the facts of what happened,” he said in a written statement, Friday (31/10).
Erwin claims he was only asked for information by the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office as a witness.He said he had also fulfilled the summons as a form of moral responsibility and support for the ongoing legal process.
