“There was a unilateral CCTV installation in Smorokoto. Then it continued to the museum and in front of the Kasentanan door,” said Suryo.
A few moments later, two daughters of Pakubuwana XIII, GKR Panembahan Timoer Rumbai and GKR Devi Lelyana Dewi together with dozens of supporters of SISKS Pakubuwana
After the area inside the Surakarta Palace was empty, SISKS Pakubuwana XIV Purbaya replaced the padlocks on the palace doors.According to Suryo, they cut the old padlocks with a grinder and installed new padlocks.
“Suddenly they were thrown out, forced out of the museum, then everything was padlocked,” he said.
Suryo admitted that the expulsions only targeted BPK Region X employees. Meanwhile, relatives and courtiers were still allowed to be in the palace.
Apart from replacing the lock on the museum door, SISKS Pakubuwana XIV Purbaya also replaced the lock on the Kori Kamandungan door.Kori Kamandungan is the main door to the Kedhaton complex.
“From the museum, move to this door (Kori Kamandungan), replace it with a grinder,” he said.
He regretted the incident. The reason is, currently the Surakarta Palace Museum is undergoing renovation and revitalization.Suryo is also concerned that using a grinder to cut old padlocks could potentially damage the palace doors which have cultural heritage status.
When met separately, the spokesperson for SISKS Pakubuwana XIV Purbaya, KPA Singonagoro, admitted that his party had replaced the padlocks on the palace doors.
“There are approximately 10 doors including Kamandungan, Kasentanan, Sasono Wilopo office, library, Sasana Handrawina, and museum,” said Singonagoro.
However, he denied that his party had carried out the expulsion. They only want to replace the palace keys so that the Babadan (cabinet) formed by SISKS Pakubuwana XIV Purbaya can work properly.
“So there was no eviction. You can see, the people there are still there,” he said.
