A container truck crashed into a pickup car and motorbike on the West Sulawesi Highway, Majene-Mamuju axis, Sendana District, Regency

Two people died as a result of the accident while five others were injured.
“Yes, in the series of accidents there were two fatalities and five people injured,” said Sendana Police Chief, Inspector Ashari in his statement, Friday.

The accident started when the container truck with plate number DD 8184 UD driven by Hasan (50) was moving from Majene towards Mamuju.
Then it crashed into a pickup car with plate number DP 8140 DB driven by Adrian (29), Friday (19/12) at around 06.55 WITA.
“The container truck was driving from Majene towards Mamuju, then hit a pickup truck from the opposite direction. Then the open car bounced and was dragged until it hit a parked motorbike and a crowd of residents around the location,” he said.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the pickup truck reportedly died at the scene.Meanwhile, a resident named Saleh (60) was rushed to hospital, but his life could not be saved after suffering serious injuries.
“Meanwhile, five injured victims are currently still undergoing medical treatment at the Sendana Community Health Center,” he explained.
Ashari admitted that he did not know for sure the cause of the accident that killed two residents.However, this case is still under investigation.
“Members are still carrying out investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident,” he said.
