Rosan Roeslani said there was no problem funding the 18 downstream projects that the government will carry out in 2026.
Rosan conveyed this directly to President Prabowo Subianto in a limited meeting with a number of ministers at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (6/11).
During the meeting, Prabowo ordered ministers to speed up the implementation of 18 strategic downstream projects, especially those that had passed the pre-feasibility study stage.

“I told the President that we don’t have any problems regarding funding,” said Rosan, reported by Antara.
“We have very good funding, very solid. We also have a good rating from Pefindo (Indonesian Securities Rating Agency), the rating is AAA, Fitch also AAA, the highest rating we get. I report that,” he said again.
Rosan explained that Danantara was still conducting studies covering various aspects regarding the 18 downstream projects.He said the evaluation was carried out comprehensively, while what had already been done could be carried out first.
“So, if for example it already exists, for example out of 18 there are already some that are okay, both financially, legally, administratively, technologically are okay, it can be implemented immediately,” he said.
Rosan also commented on the downstream conversion of coal into Dimethyl Ether (DME) as a substitute for Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG).
“We also make sure about the technology first. The technology we prioritize is the one that is up-to-date (latest, ed.), and the most efficient, because this DME was tried to run before, had a groundbreaking, but then stopped,” said Rosan.
“Well, that’s something that we, at Danantara, don’t (want) to have, we don’t want that to happen again. So, we really, if we evaluate it, really thoroughly so that when it starts running or groundbreaking it will run in full and in accordance with the targets set out,” he said.
