“The incident occurred at around 00.15 WIB and was reported an hour later. The unfortunate tragedy occurred on the Pematang Siantar route to Trading,” said Head of the Public Relations Section of the Simalungun Police, AKP Verry Purba.
AKP Verry added that two victims died, namely Aditya Pasha (18 years) and Ahmad Syahridho (17 years).Both died at the scene after the motorbike they were riding collided violently.

“The incident started when the victim Aditya, who was driving a Honda Vario BK-5269-TBJ, was driving from the direction of Commerce towards Pematang Siantar at high speed,” he explained.
When arriving at the scene, the driver was allegedly careless and drove too far to the right, entering the opposite lane.As a result, Aditya’s motorbike collided head-on with a Honda Supra without a number plate driven by Ahmad Syahridho, who was traveling in the opposite direction.
“The collision occurred very hard, both drivers died immediately on the spot,” he added.
He added that the two victims did not have a driving license.From the results of the crime scene investigation carried out by the team, the condition of the two drivers before the incident was in good physical and mental health, and the vehicle was also in standard safety condition.
“The weather at the time of the incident was sunny with light traffic flow because it was in the PTPN IV oil palm plantation area. This road is a national road, asphalt condition, straight and horizontal. There are road markings but there are no traffic signs at the location of the incident,” he explained.
After receiving the report, the team immediately processed the crime scene, regulated traffic flow to avoid traffic jams, took photos for documentation, secured evidence, and sought information from witnesses.
“We carried out all standard procedures quickly and precisely. After that we reported it to the Head of the Accidents Unit, carried out a situation report via WhatsApp, and reported it to the leadership,” he explained.
According to him, the total material loss from this accident is estimated at IDR 3 million.The two victims have been handed over to the family for burial.
“Simalungun Police again remind the public to always be careful on the road, have complete vehicle documents including a SIM and STNK, and not to drive at high speed, especially at night,” he said.
